Jody Wallace
Jody Wallace is an early childhood educator who has worked with children, teachers and teachers-to- be for 40 years. She has focused her recent teaching on dance with young children. Ms. Wallace loves to use children’s literature as a point of departure for dance exploration and was the recipient of the Moira McKenzie Literacy Grant. Her research, dance as it impacts story–retelling, was conducted in an urban kindergarten. She is inspired by the internationally recognized pedagogical practices of the preschools in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Ms. Wallace holds a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from The Ohio State University. She has presented at local, state and national conferences including OAEYC*, NDEO* and AAHPERD*. *Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children National Dance Education Organization American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance
